I started walking 30 min a day and got shin splints hurt like heck and took me off work. I hate excerise i need to start really slow so I dont get hurt and so I get in routine. Any tips?

I ride the stationary bike at the gym for about 45 mins a day. Start with a base level, like a 5 or 6, for a few mins, then up the level to say 11 or 12 for a few, then back down to the base level for cool down. keep doing this for the 45 mins. Eat good and drink lots of water. Stay away from fast foods and sugar. The weight will come off. Good luck!

@pimzalish I was about 40lbs over weight, and still do this workout to maintain. I am about 5′9″ and was very athlethic in school, but had become less active and needed to get my metabolism kick started. Loosing weight is not easy. It takes day to day focus, and you just have to start somewhere. If a person lost 1 lb a week in a year, would be down 52lbs. Just changing a few things like, less sugar, and more water will do wonders.

at the moment i am eating more protein and only eating natural sugars, like fruit, i havent cut out carbs because im trying to eat realistically, i got to the gym for 2 hours everyday, 80 mins cardio and the rest is muscle endurance. but like i said before im not really overweight, every weight consultant tool i’ve used says i am a healthy weight for my height. so how long do you think it will take me lose it?
